14/2/26 - Been on site since the beginning of February 2026, and Valentine's Day was the first opportunity to take some photos. The weather finally relented and some spring sunshine came through, and this very obliging Wren came to check out the feeders and perches we have put out so far. Very bold and photogenic, the Wren was a constant visitor throughout the day, even when I was outside of the hide and working on the site.
Our original site in the wood wasn't suitable, so we've relocated more centrally and are making use of the numerous fallen logs and trees available to make the most natural-looking perches we can. As expected, everything is trial and error, but these shots show that we are on the right path.
